The Vashon Island Chamber of Commerce has postponed the 2020 Vashon Island Strawberry Festival. It was a tough decision i’m sure as the Strawberry Festival makes up the lion share of the Chambers revenue. This hurts me personally as I know many of our local businesses rely on that revenue as well. Strawberry Festival weekend is the island’s version of Black Friday… it’s typically ALL HANDS ON DECK during the festival as our population nearly doubles.
Many of our island businesses rely on visitors so, when it is safe to do so, please plan a trip or two over to Vashon and help support all those excellent, small businesses that will be impacted by the cancelling of the 2020 Strawberry Festival.
